With over a decade of culinary experience, Executive Chef Richardson Michel is a master of flavor, fire, and finesse. From managing high-energy kitchens to crafting unforgettable menus, Richardson brings creativity, precision, and heart to every dish he creates.
His journey through the culinary world spans standout roles as Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Sauté Chef—each chapter refining his skills and deepening his passion for food. Known for his dynamic leadership and bold culinary vision, Richardson leads with energy and a commitment to excellence.
Richardson holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University, along with an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts and a Pastry Certificate from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Classically trained yet forward-thinking, he blends traditional technique with the vibrant soul of Caribbean fusion cuisine—his true culinary passion.
Beyond the upscale dining scene, Richardson has made a name for himself in the culinary community, gaining recognition in Caribbean cooking competitions and amassing a loyal following for his creative takes on traditional island fare.
Fluent in Haitian Creole, Bahamian, and French, Richardson Michel is more than a chef—he’s a cultural storyteller, using every plate to connect, inspire, and celebrate his roots.

Sales & Events Manager
Chris joined our team in 2019 as an hourly team member while attending Ohio State University. Since then, he’s worn just about every hat in the restaurant—server, bartender, host, supervisor, and even kitchen crew. He’s also been a familiar face at off-site events, serving as an event bartender for weddings, business gatherings, and everything in between. Throughout his tenure, Chris has had the opportunity to work with all of the brands in our portfolio, and currently oversees private events for J. Gilbert’s Worthington and Bristol Seafood Grill in O’Fallon, Missouri.
It’s this well-rounded experience that led Chris to become the Sales & Events Manager, where he is an expert in planning and executing events down to the smallest detail. With nearly three years in his current Sales & Events role, Chris brings dedication, creativity, and precision to every occasion.

Chris highly recommends two of his favorite menu items ... at J. Gilbert’s, it’s the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp—jumbo shrimp enveloped by crispy Nueske’s bacon, stuffed with pepperjack cheese and topped with a chipotle BBQ glaze, all served over cheesy corn grits. If Bristol is your destination, Chris will always suggest the Miso Glazed Sea Bass, a tender fish drizzled with a tangy miso glaze, roasted to perfection, and served with sweet sticky rice and wok-style broccolini.
